Freephoneline Does not Ring my Home Phone

Hi,

I just purchased an OBi 202 and was able to configure it for Google Voice - that works fine but can't receive any calls because I live in Canada which is not supported by Google Voice. So I purchased an unlock key from Freephoneline. That also works fine to make calls, but I still cannot receive calls. The OBi 202 rings the phone, so I think the problem is in Freephoneline. Does the service become operational as soon as it's set up or does it require some time to do so? Or is it something else? The service forwards to another phone (CELL) and goes to voice mail. I just can't get it to ring my home phone!

Someone put together a guide for setting up an OBi101, I would assume the 202 would be similar. It might be worth going through and seeing if anything helps.

I have not used the OBi products so I can't really offer any specific help, but there has been mention on the forum that sometimes it takes a bit of work to get them going.

Thanks, the set up started working a couple of hours after I set it up. Looks like a delay in Freephoneline. I now get calls coming in.

But now I have another issue - for Caller ID, I do not get a phone number, only "New CID: 2". is there a setting in Freephoneline that I need to change? I can't find anything that will fix that!
