Service is down

Post by Hyrules »

Anyone having issues this morning I cannot see to be able to receive any calls. Gatineau region in QC. I didn't made any recent change to my ATA and I just have reset my router and ATA to make sure none of them were crashed.

I had service down as well unexpectedly around 1030-1100 or so this morning. Located in Burlington, Ontario. All is running again! Well its the same old thing you reset router, ata and hope things work again, but didnt do anything then registration finally came through and all is working again.

PS - Not sure if its on my end but the Forum Clock appears to be out of sync by about 30 mins, as I write this it is 1119AM.

Edit - Yes as of 1211PM no incoming calls...I can make outgoing fine. I see the below post that Technical Support is aware of it and are working on it.

Update - As of about 1330 I am receiving inbound calls again.

This is odd because my registration goes thru anyway. I just cant receive call. Outgoing calls are working fine.

EDIT : When I try to call with my cellphone I get the busy tone. I'm on voip2.freephoneline.ca
Same thing with voip.freephoneline.ca

I am getting the exact same behavior as you. I am in Etobicoke. I can make calls but when I try to call from my cellphone, I get a busy tone. When will this be fixed? :(

Device Not Registered

Post by boatguy »

I have to FPL accounts and 2 different ATA devices. Everything has been working fine for months then this morning for no apparent reason both have gone "device not registered". I have rebooted. Checked interent access. And was able to get into them by the IP. So I am stumped. Any ideas?

Thanks,
John

My Status - Burlington, Ontario - 2125hrs and also family member in Beamsville, Ontario

I think inbound calls are down again. Outbounds work but to limited numbers. Inbound from cell phone works but FPL to FPL no go.

The calls go into voicemail system!

I have sent a private message to (you) Fongo Support Site Moderator in relation to the issue. I still have FPL to FPL problem, calls go directly into Voicemail. My family member FPL to my FPL same issue goes directly into Voicemail. Outbound calls elsewhere work, I can even call my Fongo number but Fongo to my FPL goes directly into voicemail as well.

Edit update - When I set the server to " voip2.freephoneline.ca " incoming calls work from my Fongo number to my FPL#. I switched back in hopes the issue can be corrected overnite.

I have same issue with hanke. I have obi110 and pap2t. both of them couldn't receive incoming calls.
Then I changed sip server to voip2.freephoneline.ca. It works perfectly. I thought voip.freephoneline.ca has some problems.

btw, my friend's ATA was bought from FPL. He had same issue today.

I have to go out now...I tried this morning with voip.freephoneline.ca server from my Fongo phone to my FPL line and they go directly into voicemail. I have set it now to voip2 server, which works and I will leave it like that till I get back home this evening and message you at that time again.

Thanks

Hi there,

Sounds good, let me know when you are available and we can run some tests.

Perhaps there is one setting on the ATA that needs adjustment.

The server now being on voip2 allowed an inbound call from my daughter's FPL line in Beamsville, no problem. The ATA has been the same now for several months and this only started yesterday when there was interminent service problems. Please give me a suggestions as to what I can check before getting in touch with you later tonite.

Hi there,

I will need to test your line(s) in order to troubleshoot this.

My suggestion is to contact me via PM this evening when you become available again, and we can run some tests together on all your 4 accounts and get this resolved.

Unfortunately I am not able to troubleshoot this issue here in the public forums, as this is a deeper issue and requires testing on the line(s)

Thank you for your understanding,

I have been out all day, returned my server to "voip.freephoneline.ca" as it should be. I did tests and all are working fine as usual. My daughters line in Beamsville has also correct itself without any intervention on the ATA.

This had all started yesterday when we had intermitent service problems. The problem was noticed when FPL line called me, going directly into voicemail. I called the other FPL and it did the same. I temporarily changed my ATA server to voip2 and inbound calls worked. (I could always make outbound but not to FPL line)

I suspect either the system had work done unknown to anyone, or the system corrected itself over time, with some FPL lines. I had made no changes to the ATA to cause the problem.

To sum it up....all is working as usual...hope it works for a while again!

UPDATE - Just had an inbound call...from a Cogeco VOIP line and they encountered directly to voicemail. So I gather my line is not fixed...have to let tech support know again.

I have submitted support tickets as indicated below. Its kind of a confusing support request process, the first one basically gives you suggestions and ticket is closed. So I then completed the request at support.fongo.com which generated 27670 ticket. I have also sent a PM to Fongo Support Moderator so you should have all my details to escalate the request.
