Hello,
I am currently enjoying my service with FPL for over 4 years. I would like to thank you for providing such a great service.
Now my parents would also love to move their home line to FPL, but my sister (living with them) has an account that she uses on her laptop and smart phone. Would it be an issue (breach of contract) if we sign up for another account under the same house hold? I do not live with them so my account is under a separate household entirely.
I ask now, because I don't want to have issues down the road if they do an audit and see 1 household having two accounts. Then getting both accounts canceled. If there will be a problem, then we'll just use my sister's current account. How will that work? Can we have the account signed in via ATA and Softphone? We would like to keep it with two numbers since she'll be calling home with the softphone and she won't be able to do that if both sides have the same number.
Please advise.
Thanks!

Re: Two accounts 1 Household
More than one account is not a problem at all. 100 accounts might be, but not just a few. In fact the way Fongo is set up, if you want to use their systems as they intended you HAVE to have several accounts.
Remember, you can only have one device connected at a time (per account). You can have several devices all connected at once, but they need to be logged in with different accounts.
Fongo and FPL are not on the same database, so you can't use a Fongo account on FPL and vice versa.
At our home here we have more than a couple of FPL/Fongo accounts as our main lines, on iPods and phones - so you should be OK with a couple of accounts in the same house

Thanks for the confirmation! You've put my mind at rest. I'll be signing them up and getting them on the FPL bandwagon this weekend! So excited to cut those monthly bills.
Thanks Again!
Thanks Again!

I've started the port process. What happens once the port is complete? Will the system kick me off because I am using the old account number in the ata?

You should get an email come through saying that your number has now been ported to FPL. At this point you will need to go into your ATA and change the old username (your current FPL number) to your new username, which will be your ported number including the initial 1.
