What kind of phone are you using? Some phones have a specific set, or range of frequencies that they like to use.

Our recommended settings are for any old analog phone. Check the box your phone came in for set frequencies or even better, the internet!

Have you tried plugging in another phone? It could be something simple like the ringer just doesn't work on that phone.

Have another line to try the phone on to make sure it isn't a dead phone? I used to sell refurb phones when I worked in a liquidation store, uniden's were always hit and miss for the refurb quality.

And our default ring values are just fine. It's a digital phone, so it'll run just perfectly with the values we provide.

I don't have any other phone or other lines, I cannot test, when I call my FPL number, phone doesn't ring, doesn't flash, but if I press answer, it is connected and worked fine

I searched online, people say ATA only works with analog phones, is that true?

Could possibly be the phone.. Digital phones aren't specific to voltage requirements, as long as they detect a voltage, they will ring. I'm using a Pansonic DECT6.0 phone on my ATA at home and haven't changed it from the device's default ringer settings.

tried lot of settings, still not working. is this related to port forwarding issue? I tried to open the ports in my router, after that the phone stopped working completely, cann't even hear dial tone. also tried to turn off DHCP and assign an IP to ATA, I got "cannot log into server" error.

I have same issue, I can make call from and to the phone. But no ringer at the phone. I tried from my phone to my voip phone i can hear it ringing on my regular phone but actually voip phone does not ring. But if pick it up i can talk normal also I can make calls as well.
I have tried 3 different phones and i know ringer works on them as i tested them on my regular land phone line.
I am using Linksys PAP2 adapter Firmware 3.1.22(LS).
Any help would be appreciated.

Follow the instructions provided here :
http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=298

The only change you have to make is to use LINE 2 and USER 2 and of course the plug line 2 on your ATA modem. This works for me.I have a digital UNIDEN phone.Good luck !
