Hi,
Service was working fine a couple days ago.
I didn't check it last night before unplugging my phone from the ATA, but I ASSUME it was working.
I plugged a different phone into the ATA and no dialtone. Unplugged it and plugged the original back in thinking it was a phone problem and still no dialtone.
I unplugged and shutdown everything...router, modem, ATA, computer.
Plugged in modem, waited a couple minutes, plugged in router and waited, then ATA. Still nothing.
Did a factory reset on the ATA and entered everything in as per the Linksys config doc from this site. Still nothing.
All along...the info screen for the ATA shows it online...never showing offline except for a few seconds if the ATA is resetting after a config change.
The phone is working since I'm able to get the IP address from it still, and I was able to do a factory reset of the ATA via the phone handset.
I'm fairly new to this so could be missing something simple.
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!!!
Can't get a dialtone

Re: Can't get a dialtone
Any resolution on this yet? Did you get it working? If you think it may be a VOIP registration server issue, power down the ATA and try loading the PC softphone on your computer and see if that works correctly. That will help isolate a Fongo problem from a user-side config problem.

Re: Can't get a dialtone
No, not solved yet.
I'll double-check the computer software, but I think it was still working since this happened.
When I logon to the FreePhoneLine site it shows me as connected...as does the ATA info scree.

No, not working yet.
I'll double-check the software, but I think it was still working last I tried, which was since the dialtone problem.
Logging on to Freephoneline shows me as connected, as does the info screen of the ATA box...so not sure what's wrong.

Re: Can't get a dialtone
I just tried the software on the PC and I can call out no problem.
Still no dialtone through the phone/ATA.
