PAID...Oh oh ! The text messaging service ....NO SMS non DV

Hello, just openend a 438-388-XXXX number with DV voice....Saw the SMS feature I was like great let's try it

Paid for 6 months ( prob bad idea...) also paid 5$ for world credits

Now the credits for World are still there ( 5$ )

And the days left on sms too ( 178)

Problem is ....I can't SMS anyone ( noone) other than my own DV account ( tested to see) and (tried to sms the the DV account) ...not working


Called in ...was said to come here for moral support.

Please help....kinda sucks to pay for something...and be left alone in the dark...

ANDROID PHONE 4.0 P930 with lates DV app.

Calls work great btw!

This sounds like an account issue, which a CSR would have to deal with, so why they told you to come here I don't know.

I'm not sure if there is anything we can do here, but have you tried rebooting the phone? It might kick something in.

The only other thing I can suggest is if you can try you DV account on another phone, I would suggest a different make and model. This would give you a better idea of where the problem might be, depending on if it works on the other phone or not.

Well I dont have another phone....what I can do is try installing a different OS ( 2.3)...will try with different Google version

There must be a "general" problem cause since I paid for texting, I don't get any push notifications anymore. Hope they are looking at the issue.

Can you pall please try texting again to a cell phone? Patkob, i can confirm for a fact i know yours is now working.

By 5pm, most if not all should be able to text without issue.

Patkob's issue was not push notification, that was in regards to getting the "Uh oh, your not subscribed" message when texting.

Please make sure you are still logged in and have the app running.

Speaking about my issue, if the app is running in the background, I do receive the text messages. However, I doubt this is a pre-requisite in order to receive them.

I am having the same issue. I recently got my number ported over and I paid for 6 months of texting but texting doesn't work..

Can you please try again, as i had posted earlier, we were expecting them to all be working (no longer giving the "uh oh" message by 5pm.

When you sign up for the service, it can actually take up to 24hrs for it to start.
