Hi Mike,
I recently picked up an iPhone 4S running iOS6. I am a Fongo user but unfortunately the phone only vibrates on incoming calls...no ringing. This is even if the application is open on my phone. With my Samsung Galaxy phone there is no problem; the phone rings. Is there a general fix for iOS6 that will be coming out to resolve this issue?
Thanks!

HI RunnyRon,

there a couple threads about push notifications already open. I would suggest using the search feature in the top right corner to find one of them (one can be found here )

I searched through the forums. Can't find an answer. Tried several settings options in "Notifications" and no luck. Can't the Fongo team put together a configuration guide for different phones?

Hi Mike,
Please man, could really use some guidance. Try doing a search for " push notification". You'll find 19 matches, 11 of which  are this thread, another 3 pertaining to paid texting feature not working, one entitled "Dell Voice Incoming Calls" with users complaining of similar problems but have not received any expert response, one pertaining to issues with voicemail, one on "iOS app notification" which also did not receive any expert response, and finally one which also looked promising called "can't receive calls on 3g" but again, offered no solutions to the problem. I've already enabled push notifications for Dell Voice. Mind you, it doesn't ring even if the app is open and i am staring at the DV keypad. No ring. Any advice?
Thanks in advance!

I don't have a 4S so I can't help with any specifics on that device, but we do have 2 iPod touches here which are both running iOS6. I don't think there is a vibration device on them, but both are running fine and ring when they should.

I assume you are getting the notification come in fine, which was the other problem with iOS6 a while back, si it is just the ringing that doesn't seem to be working.

The question should be, has anyone else got DV working on an iPhone 4S iOS6? If so, could you post here.

Now, my devices sometimes turn to vibration when the ringer volume is turned down. I assume you have tried all the phone settings to see if some volume setting is not right (again, I don't have the 4S so I can't help you there). Does it vibrate as though it is ringing? or does it just vibrate once as though it is trying to alert you to something? Have you tried changing the ringing tune in DV to see if that helps any? What about text messages, so they play a tune or just vibrate again?

This could be some strange conflict with the 4S, iOS6 an DV, or it could just be a problem with your iOS6 or 4S. If we can confirm everything is OK on another 4S running iOS6, then you need to start looking at your device to find what might be wrong. I am pretty sure that iOS6 and DV combination is not the problem as we have that running here (and I am sure a lot of others would be shouting by now), so we need to look more into your particular device.

You are right though, searching would not be much use as I don't recall this coming up before. Maybe Mike or Steve should split this part of the thread out to it's own thread as it has wondered off the original track a little, yet it still needs it's own place I think.

Hi Jake,
Thank you kindly for the reply. You are right, no ringing just vibrate. I decided to contact Apple support. Seems like it may be a software issue with the iOS6 update. I will relay if I get anything helpful in response.
Thanks again.

Well I hope you get some joy. My personal experience with things like this will be every company blaming each other for things not working and I usually end up going round and round in circles.

hopefully you will get some help from them, or someone else with a 4S will say they have (or have not got) the same problem.

Hi Fongo,

Is it possible that the push notifications are failing again? Doesn't seem to work anymore for me. Push notifications for incoming calls also fail. Sorry to say this, but if I can't trust the app anymore, it's not gonna take long anymore before I drop Dell Voice. :-(
