Have you ENABLED the follow me option before attempting to add a follow me #?

If you had only 1 follow me number in the system, and deleted that number, I believe that the default system behavior is to DISABLE the follow me if you log out of the system without inputting a new number. If you are still logged in and on that screen, you CAN just go back and add a number without ENABLING it, but once you log out, and then back in again, make sure that you ENABLE first, THEN add a number ...

See if that gets it going for you! :-)

ENABLE before ADD

Note: just did a quick test with my FPL account and CONFIRMED that this is the behavior of the module for my account ...

Mike -- can you confirm my "diagnosis and assessment" of how the follow-me option works and toggles when an active number is deleted? It certainly did on MY account when I went in and played with it ...

All that was missing was to enable the follow me settings. Everything else was ok.

As per my post! :-)

Mike: if you have a spare sec on your OWN FPL/DV account, just give a try to what I posted in my ENABLE before ADD post and verify the behavior ...

1) from a Follow-me enabled with # supplied state, remove follow me numbers until they are none.
2) log out of account
3) log back in
-- if correct, even though when you logged out, you had Follow Me ENABLED, as there were no #'s supplied, the system toggles status to DISABED/off, meaning that you must then FIRST re-enable it, prior to being able to ADD a number (duh, makes sense, but the actual act of DISABLING/turning off was never done by the user, the system did it 'behind the scenes').

Odd. Okay, gonna go do it again on my FPL account ... I am certain it toggled when I messed with it....

Oh bloody hell, now it is NOT doing it. It is now acting as Mike described, where a log out maintains the ENABLED status even when the last FM # is deleted. (note: this was NOT the case during my initial trial...)

Never fails. In any case, you were able to get the users account resolved, and at least making sure it is enabled is a good first step.

I would add, that as we have noticed with certain OTHER drop-down menu driven options on Fongo sites, that if one appears to be grayed out, go see if you can change another one, to be able to allow the original one to be changed (I think the example of this was where you could not select a province until you scrolled past and threw in a postal code?)
