I guess I have just been around here for too long
We have 3 devices that have all subscribed to the text package and have been unable to send texts through DV. We only use it as an addition to the normal cell though, so important texts have got through via Telus or we just called the person
Support from Fongo is crap now. There is no other way to sugar coat it. Back when it was just FPL is wasn't too bad, you could always get someone on the phone that was very helpful. Now unless you have home phone it is pointless calling in, but you never know - you might get someone like Fongo_Mike who is helpful and might listen to your plight.
Support is a big let down from Fongo, and it is why they will continue to loose or upset many of their customers. I have replaced my home line with FPl many years ago and couldn't be happier, but things are just no way close enough to even start thinking about replacing the cell phones with. We have DV loaded on a few iPods, and that works out well for us - when it works. When it doesn't work, we just wait until it does again. As I said, I have probably just been here too long and know these things will get fixed, just not very fast on a weekend.
Fongo needs a service status page without a question of a doubt. They might think that one may make the company look bad, but hiding away when everyone KNOWS there is a problem probably does even more damage.
I wish I could say something to defend them, but the facts are their support sucks and their systems break. They will come back online, but we never know when.
