I really do not know. I did not change a thing, I didn't even had set up any port forwarding and it was working fine for nearly a year. Suddenly on December 19 the problems started, and not only for me, FPL actually put an announcement up
http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7286. Anyway, from that time of on my routed modem did not only cause problems with my phone, but also with my PS3, it stayed in NAT Type 3, no matter if I forwarded all the necessary ports and even in DMZ it was hit and miss, as this gave me tons of error messages on my PS3 and my phone went randomly in and out of service. After putting my router in Bridge mode my PS3 now shows NAT Type 2 and my phone is working perfectly fine. So, not really an explanation as to why it suddenly started to fail, but at least fixing the modem worked
