Hello this is my first post in this forum, the following is what i emailed to fongo but they replied saying that they can't assist me as i own a third party ATA...
I own an Obi110 ATA which has been working fine with FPL
service until 2 days ago, now im stuck in *Register Failed: No Response
From Server*, i have even tried with the Alternative SIP server that you
have: voip2.freephoneline.ca as your tutorial describes: http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials
I have followed to the letter your tutorial and i still can´t get my line
registered, i also have not been notified by email by you reporting damage
or something and i checked in your web page all the services seems to be up
but i don't know why the service stopped working suddenly for me when it
was working just fine before.
Thanks in advance, hope to get a hold of you ASAP as i'm using this service
in Ecuador to communicate with my partner located in Vancouver, Canada.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be? I'n not a noob about Voip but i still can't figure it out what the problem is.
BTW i also have a Google Voice account configured in the same OBI 110 ATA and is working just fine.
I have the same problem. I own an Obi202 that I run at my home. No problem registering to FPL. I bought my nephew an Obi110 for Christmas, configured it here and it tested out just fine.
But when its plugged in at his house, it only ever says "Retrying Register". I assume its a router issue, but his router never had options for ALG and Sip, etc. I plan on swapping out the router next time I'm there.
My advice would be to try the Obi on the DMZ port, just to see if that gets around the problem and confirms its a router issue.

You mention that your calls involve Equador service. It may be that the calls/registration are being blocked. It seems that it is one of the places where Voip is restricted to authorized telephone operators so you may want to check up on that.
i'm having the same problem with my obi100. i had it working for about a wk then lost the phone led on the unit and can't figure out get it back working.

Hello there,
Here are the steps to get your OBI working again.
1. Please go to your online profile at obi's website and delete all the info. (this is very important)
thanks. but i came down from dinner and the ata is lit again and the phone works. i checked anyways and the url field is blank but hopefully the status stays registered. i'll try the reset and reconfigure if this issue comes back. thanks again.

Hi there,
Glad you got this working again, please try my suggestion if you get stuck again.
Powered everything off for half an hour still does the same weird sound. When ata powers up the power button briefly turns orange and than goes blue has only done that during this latest problem
I will await your reply thanks
