Why I can not call from Vancouver to Toronto

Post by lhp2000 »

Every time I dialed a Toronto number from my phone. The phone service will be stopped for some minutes (Not confirm how long, it is random.). It happens about 2 months ago.

More info, I can call local number. When I dialed 1-905-xxx-xxxx, the phone will become one way communication. And then, I have to do the following steps to make it can call local phone.

1. change from voip2.freephoneline.ca to voip.freephoneline.ca, then sumbit
2. change it back to voip2.freephoneline.ca, then submit
3. Local call works again. But the long distance doesn't wort yet.!

Anyone here can help me resolve this problem?

Thank you for your reply.

I know the list, but I have purchased $5 long distance credit. I don't mean that the free phone. And the number I dialed has been dialed many many time. It is my friend's phone number.

Every time I called long distance, the phone service will stop until I do some steps as my first post.

As far as I know, the primary SIP url to be using in your ATA device is

Code: Select all

voip.freephoneline.ca

If I don't call long distance, the local call works fine.

Hi there,
Do you have SIP ALG disabled on your E4200?

Also, is your Modem a Thompson speedtouch?

Thanks,
