I opened my Freephoneline account and follow the steps to register the Desktop App.
In step 3, I click "Call me now" to get a confirmation code and it tells me :
"You will be call in a couple of minutes to confirm your registration and activate your freephoneline account."
But I never get a call. I made several attempts.

You are very shrewd!
In fact, I had the same problem when I tried to register my VoIP Unlock Key. The solution was to delete my account and open another.
This time it is a second home where I only want to use the Desktop App with a different number.

As longs as you provide a "real" number where system can call you back, you should be ok.
It needs to be a cell or landline.
Please try again and let me know.
