Strange problem with PAP2T

I'm having a strange problem. I recently signed up with freephoneline.ca and got account details. I purchased the unlock key and requested porting of my old number. In the meantime, I was given a new 647 number with password.

I have a PAP2T. The problem is that when I try to put my account details (phone # and password) in the adapter setting, it does not work. However, if I try a friend's login details it works just fine !!

When calling someone I cannot hear the phone ringing. While the person being called can hear me, I cannot hear them at all.

I followed all the steps from the document posted in this forum yet no success.
