Fongo Home Phone and power failure

There was a power failure (and Internet outage) in my apartment today for at least 2 hours around 9PM today and Fongo home phone was not working for more than 1 hour (I tested it by calling from my cell).

Usually, the ATA registration issue is fixed 10 minutes after an Internet disconnection.

Is this VOIP outage normal?

I would power down the modem router and ATA for a few minutes, then power up the modem -> router -> ATA in that order waiting for each one to settle down before turning on the next one. You will probably find that will bring it back online.
