SIP Status: "disconnected"
I've got a Linksys Pap2t Sip VoIP Phone Adapter. I bought an SIP unlock a while back. I haven't used my phone for a bit but when I tried to use it yesterday there was no dial tone and when I logged into the device today I saw this error..
PAP2 shows "Registration State: can't connect to login server"
Also my freephoneline.ca settings online show this..
SIP Status: "disconnected"
Does anyone know whats going on? My internet connection with Shaw works as I'm posting this..

Re: SIP Status: "disconnected"
It could be that they have enforced the settings more since you last used it, so make sure it is set up according to these specs now http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials
The chances are either your server settings are wrong, or your timers are too low and your ATA is getting blocked.

Looks good!
Now check your Linksys settings and ensure FPL guidelines are followed.

Re: SIP Status: "disconnected"
Thanks for all the help. I finally figured it out. There was an IP conflict.
Question though. Can I forward calls with the Linksys adapter. I tried to forward the number to my girlfriends cell but it just goes to my voicemail. I did *72 and then her number which is a local 604 number. Is that the right code for forwarding calls?

Re: SIP Status: "disconnected"
You can only forward calls in the online admin, otherwise as you have found out calls just go to voicemail.
