Are there any settings I need to modify to get this to work?
I have a SPA3102 with Rogers Extreme.
That's the last thing most people would think to check because of the "it hasn't happened before, so why would it now" way of thinking.Bloodsong wrote: Remember that if you are using a wireless phone, the phone it self may suffer from interfence and signal loss due to environmental factors, especially on the 2.4GHz spectrum.
(Factors include but are not limited to: Large pools of water, metal pipe/wiring, halogen lightbulbs, microwaves (in use), solid constructs (walls, the more dense the material, the worse for signal.)
Have you tried all the in-depth troubleshooting that Bloodsong has mentioned? This seems to be something on your end, not ours.Shaf77 wrote:I have tried two new phones now. DECT 6.0 and 5.8GHZ. Not only am i getting callers not able to hear me, calls are getting dropped very often, people get vm (immediately) when trying to call me.
What is going on at the FPL end???? Please remedy these issues...
Thank you for your offer.Bloodsong wrote:Shaf
I would say you're safe to bet on it not being a phone related issue based on that testing.
If you want help with your Router setup/testing feel free to PM me, ensure that your ATA device is hard-wired to the router while we're testing please.
At this point I highly suggest that you go ahead with taking screen shots of your ATA Configurations as well.
Settings such as Registration Time, Line Voltage and Dial Strings could help the community with troubleshooting tips for you.
The problem is with third-party ATAs the Free Phone Line guys while they try to be helpful work for a corporation who I'm willing to bet tells them the correct answer is "That's not support hardware."
As such a lot of the time they don't have the same device you're using for testing. That's why I also try to get the attention of the community for ATA help, and don't forget to use that Search function at the top right.
Just plunk your ATA device name into their (Ex. SPA3102) and you'll probably see a couple of troubleshooting threads come up from device owners.

Let me know if you need any help, I'd be glad to provide any insight I can.
