Hi,
My phone is attached to a Linksys SPA2102; and the ringer on incoming calls sounds terrible. Calls work fine.
Instead of a typical... 1 second ring, 2 second pause, 1 second ring, 2 second pause it goes something like:
1/2 second ring, 1/4 second pause, 1/8 second 'blip', 1/2 second pause, 1/2 second ring, 1 second pause
1 1/2 second ring, 1/2 second pause, 1/8 second "blip", 2 second pause...
It just seems all over the map.
Its like the ringer itself is cutting out intermittently and randomly, during a 'ring'. The phone is tested and works fine with other lines. And I tried a 2nd phone with the linksys box and freephoneline.ca and it too has a messed up ringer.
It works, and I'm not missing calls or anything as a result, but I'd like it to ring "normally". I saw there are ringer settings; and I've set them according to SIP Settings page:
Ring Tone Frequency: 52
Ring Tone Voltage: 90
But are there additional settings to set? Or different values? Or are those for something else entirely?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: sickly ringer on incoming calls
Try setting/checking your selection in the - Ring Waveform: to ->Sinusoid from Trapezoid. This is in the same area of your Ring Tone Voltage and Ring Tone Frequency.
