I have ROGERS cell phone with Canada wide free calling plan. Does anyone know, if I am going to pay for long distance, if I call FPL number (e.g. 403) which is in Europe? ROGERS agent told me that as long as destination Canadian number is within Canada, no charges will occur. If called person is in US, they would charge me, even though I am calling Canadian phone number.
I believe, in this case, I should not get charged, since ROGERS can't figure out that (403 number-destination number) is actually in Europe.
I am asking this, as I have parents living in Europe and have set them up with SPA-2102 adapter. When I call from ROGERS network, call goes to FPL server which is in Canada. So, ROGERS should see me talking to FPL network in Canada, but not back end communication between FPL and destination in Europe over the internet.
Appreciate your answer.
Cheers
