My ATA registration failed

My ATA registration failed

I have Linksys SPA1001 VOIP ATA
Dlink Dir 615 Router

Mcafee total protection installed

My ATA was working and then get disconnected i cycle power and then it work for a day and then disconnected again

I have ports forward on my router
when i go to Mcafee home network defence it shows my router and ATA online
I can Access sipura menu via phone and listen to ATA IP address on it

when i go online with ATA and sees registration failed

what to do ?

I would first double check your timers to make sure they are not trying to register too often, then I would open a support ticket and get support to look and see if they can see any reasons their end. The links are in my sig.

did you PM the ticket number to Support also? otherwise the ticket may just get closed and not looked at.

by changing the proxy server to alternate one it resolved the issue


EDIT: Bridonca here. Topic is locked so I decided to edit this to get my 2 cents in.

The DIR-615 is a SIP VOIP unfriendly router. At the very least, it needs the latest firmware, and preferably DD-WRT.
You kind of fixed the issue by using another SIP port other than 5060. But if you do have future problems, do something about your router.
