I changed my VOIP adapter to a new, different model.
Logged into my Freephoneline account "https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings" to check my SIP STATUS and it was still showing in "SIP User Agent" :my previous device , and in SIP Status: "Connected"
Thought I can reset this by powering down my new device and hoping that online account SIP Status would go "Disconnected"
However, this did not happened, 30 minutes later still shows old device as connected.
How often Freephoneline system checks the "real" status and updates online account SIP status information ?
Thanks!

For the reason you've described, it's always better to log into your ATA and check registration status there.
I don't know the answer to your question, but given that registration interval is supposed to be 1 hour, that's what I would guess.

DL-ed and run software phone program
Now status changed quickly to "Desktop Phone......"
It seems, that my ATA device does not register properly
That would explain , why outgoing calls are working, and incoming calls are going voicemail
Need to adjust settings on this old Motorola VT2442

Freephoneline only allows one (device, softphone, or app) registration per account at any time. The most recently registered device will ring. The other will not.jenom wrote:DL-ed and run software phone program
