I just started using the free phone line, with a headset. When I dial, I often have quite a long pause before getting a dial tone or ringing tone. If I run diagnostic it says no data transfer, port 13000 should be available. The call will most often go through, with some data loss now and then. Often, if I am receiving a call, I can hear them, they cannot hear me and disconnect before the issue might resolve itself on its own.
Otherwise, this is fairly satisfactory. I had a true voip line for years, but the ata died in the heat and I can't afford to replace it right now.
I have no idea where to look for ports or how to make them available. If someone could guide me through this I would appreciate it.
