one-way communication(in/outgoing calls) #8871
I ported my number from Rogers to freephoneline two days back (905-554-xxxx)
All worked well first-day. Since yesterday I have issues, no ringback when calling someone (but call actually goes though and connects, tested with my cell) and also do not hear other side for incoming calls but person on other side hears me well. But all good with other freephoneline customers numbers.
I have another phone connected on the same ATA on different port (number 289-378-xxxx) and it works fine, I even switched the ports and tested with same result...

I believe I have replied on the support ticket you have submitted. If not, please send me PM with your phone number associated with the account and I will verify.

My modem is called 2wire gateway and it is supplied by Bell high speed, thank you, not sure what you mean by firmware though.

Please try to login into your 2wire gateway and disable Sip alg function.
Its under Advanced->Configure Services.
Please try and let us know.

Sip ALG= Sip Application Layer Gateway
It is under configure services. (see screenshot from earlier post)

Well I solved the problem and it was not the Sip Alg function, it had to do with the Bell firewall and now all is working fine! I do thank you for all your posts and help! Have a great day!

You might have to call Bell and ask them to disable it for you as Chris did.necfta wrote:Hi

Re: one-way communication(in/outgoing calls) #8871
HI:
I sent a pm as per your instructions, about a week ago, but I have not heard from you yet.
Additionally I tried the system from another computer in my house, but it too did not receive any audio.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks
