Hi!

I have registered before the upgrade, but I found my custom voicemail greeting was reset to the standard one and my voicemail setting changed form "forward" to "none". I can't set it back to "forward", no matter what I tried.

Other than the voicemail issues, the line seems to be working fine.

I have already PM'ed FPL-Steve with my FPL number, just in case.

Thanks for your hard work and the great service!

About the DTMF problem: Fring and Nimbuzz can both be used to test an SIp account, but they can NOT be used to test DTMF as both apps have their problems with it. Their respective forums are full of users requesting better DTMF functions.

The only app that I've used on iPhone successfully for sip with
DTMF is Siphon.

Unfortunately, that requires a jailbreak which I don't want to do. I was successfully using my app prior to the upgrade without any DTMF issues, so hopefully FPL can isolate the issue.

Acrobits Groundwire. I'm assuming it would be similar for their other app as well, Acrobits Softphone.

Is anyone seeing any changes with their MWI today? A few small changes were run on the server overnight.

Voicemail is not working on my phones this morning either. The usual beep after the prompt, "The person you are trying to reach is not available. Please leave a message", is gone. I waited for at least 1 minute and there was still no beep nor a disconnection (as it might have been disconnected already :?: ). This test is directly on my PAP2T.

I am not complaining. :) As I am using an ip-pbx, I do not have above problem. :D

It is working now (it might have been working earlier but I just had the time to test it now). I can leave a voicemail now when I call my FPL numbers. :D

Now both the MWI and voice mail do not work. :( Instead of hearing the usual prompt and a tone, I hear a sound like the sound when you put down the phone. Whatever blah blah I made were not saved in my voice mailbox. Tests were made from a Bell landline and from a Fido cellphone...both can not reach the voice mail box properly. This is my last test on the PAP2T.

I'll update only if my ip-pbx does not work with FPL...

Voice mail system down again!

From noon on Oct 19, 2010 (PDT) until now 3:30 p.m. PDT. The voice mail system was down again.

We just heard "Please hang up and try again".

Even caller cannot leave message into my voice mail box. After the prompt for leaving message, it was silence for a few seconds and then heard a busy tone.

FPL, please have a quick look and fix the problem.

Funkytown wrote:Spa2101 common issues is when your incoming calls goes to VoiceMail or busy signal and this is because the Spa2101 ATA is normaly behind a router/modem like most Voip ATA's. After your Spa2101 registers with FPL proxy server a port is opened for 5060 or 5070 to accept inbound connections and after a certain time the port will close automatically by your router/modem.

Changing the registration expire time to a shorter registration is one method and the other is to activate NAT Keep Alive which the ATA will send a packet by default every so many seconds to keep port 5060 or 5070 open and active. The NAT Keep Alive feature on the Spa2101 can be found on the Voice tab then choose the admin login and choose the advanced menu. From there choose eathier line 1 or line 2 that you are working with and the option will be available to choose to turn on or not.Make sure to always save and reboot after changing settings.
The NAT Keep Alive solution has worked for me so far. Thanks a lot Funkytown.

Nimbuzz is an SIP client that works with FreePhoneLine (but lacks DTMF)
